T5.1 caravelle exec

Hi folks,
Very new to the group so no doubt this has already been discussed.
I’m looking to upgrade a few things on the caravelle,
She’s a 2.0 2015 140.
I’m Looking to upgrade the following so appreciate any tips or hurdles to expect.
Wheels and tyres change from the 17inch custom to something a little more elegant, tyre size with out catching on the inner arches.
Brakes,and suspension changes, should I lower the set up?
Looking to add a front runner roof rack, but does a tent box fit on this type?

Sliding door blinds? Is it possible to get these re upholstered in a thermal blackout style?

Head unit and steering wheel control with parking sensors. I’ve been unable to find a direct harness that accommodates this? Does it need to be wired separately?
Yes it’s a list so appreciate any tips going for war or links to suppliers

Crazy4932, welcome to the T6 Forum. Their are a number of Caravelle owners on here who might be able to answer.

I lowered my caravelle with a full bilstein set up, it does look better but it’s a harder ride. I’ve got 18” Borbet wheels and I think if they were any bigger the ride would be too hard for me and how I use the van.
The caravelle is 30mm lower than a standard t5 so if you buy a 50mm lower kit you’ll only get 20mm lower.
I doubt the blinds can be done, having looked at them when the door cards were off they wind up pretty tight, van-x curtains look rubbish on the doors as they don’t do a rail that sits properly on the sill. I use cheap foil blinds behind the roller blind on the side doors, van x blackout curtains on the rear side windows and tailgate with a rainbow screen on the front and it’s pretty cosy in there.
Brakes don’t seem worth an upgrade for the work involved and possible complications further down the line.
