Hi all....
2016 T6 Shuttle LWB
I'm looking to replace my standard rear windows for Tinted Privacy Glass and wondered if anyone had advice, come across a thread or videos on best way to remove existing glass ?
I'm ok with installing new glass, viewed a couple of videos online about fitting new from scratch but not a lot for replacing existing.
Need advice/videos/threads on removing middle, rear and tailgate glass.
Thanks in advance.

Try Google removing bonded glass. The guys that replaced mine used specific wire for the job, like cheese wire. You need to be patient and careful not to mark the paint work. Glass edges can be damn close to the paint with not enough gap to work the wire through.

didn't really want tinted film as concerned will can scratched, plus would like to fit new glass with openers as few people have commented the rear gets a little stuffy and warm

The tinting film does mark, that’s why I replaced my rear screen. I’ve not seen openers on the rears. Is there a supplier in mind?

I couldn't trust my two boys from scratching them ! its bound to happen with my pair !!
camperglass.co.uk do middle and rear panels with sliding openers in privacy.
Reasonably priced too, been doing a little research on removing old windows now thinking about approaching local vehicle window firm to see if they could replace providing I remove inside trims/cards

Be careful who you trust with your van. Other members have had windows replaced at dealers by “specialists” and have reported poor workmanship and pure vandalism!!
Aftermarket window quality does vary with suppliers. The radii and sizes can vary so when you attempt to line the front and back up, the heights can be slightly different and gaps out too. Can be a right pain.
Mine was from Camperglass as recommended by VGC. I’m happy with the quality though it’s 1mm thicker than OEM and a tighter fit in the aperture. It could It cost me £75 to remove / replace while safe on the drive.

I think your right, this is why I’d always rather do the work myself. I’ve only had my T6 4 weeks and I’m researching everything with a view to getting everything sourced and fitted myself - to save money, I enjoy it and can do extras while trims are off.
Noted about glass size variant thank you.
Do you have anymore places to source glass ?

I used VGC for my side glass as they had flush sliders and the mech was similar to OEM. Happy with the quality and finish.
They couldn’t supply the tailgate glass with wiper hole but recommended Camperglass. I’ve not had experience with other suppliers.
