Hi guys! Oh yes, unfortunately for you i'm back! :sneaky:

Last year i made a pause from my van due to the work.
compared to where we left off on the old post, old frankie! i sold even the T6 Transporter 140bhp that i bought in the middle of 2021:rofl:

Last january i bought a used T6 caravelle 150hp LWB double sliding doors, from Germany, with 180.000km (111846 mile)

IMG20210903115109.jpg

and now the new project begin...

this is the list of modification i've intention to do :

  1. conversion of dashboard from businnes to highline
  2. change engine and gearbox ( i have one with 45.000km/27970 mile)
  3. install an Eberspacher airheater
  4. T6.1 OEM rear full led light
  5. change tow hook, from fixed model to removable one made by westfalia
  6. install the start/stop deactivation system
  7. install the traction control off button
  8. engine remap and turbocharger impeller increase (i hope in more than 220hp)
  9. apply dark films on the windows
  10. install lowering kit (bilstein b14 komfort) 40mm
  11. install TWIN MONOTUBE PROJEKT AT 20" wheels in black matt
  12. make two-tone livery
  13. facelift to t6.1 full led (this one i don't know if i'll do....is very expensive)
surely along the way I will come up with other whims to install

Is the original engine no good? 111k Mile's doesnt seem excessive...

the turbocharger leaking oil, and the egr cooler is broken.
Nothing really to justify the replacement of the engine, but i have a newer one...so i replace it instead of repair the original one.

Looking forward to see the result of the lowering and the wheels!
My T6.1 is coming this summer and I think I'm going to lower it with bilstein b12 kit and maybe go for the Twin Monotube 20inch as well.
Keep posting!

after the total removal of the old dashboard i install the USB splitter to have the usb plug in the top drawer and in the gear knob side drawer,

exactly this component

i think some coding is required, because the plugs works fine, but the navigation system in VCDS return me some errors.
@Robert maybe you can help me?

and this is the result

only the Mk7 Golf steering wheel is missing

Ciao sono della provincia di Trento, ho letto che sei di Verona. Se hai intenzione di cambiare i fanali 6.1 frontali sono interessati ai tuoi fari led.
Erik
Hi, I'm from the province of Trento, I read that you're from Verona. If you're going to change the 6.1 headlights are interested in your LED headlights

Fantastic transformation, looks awesome

What route have you decided to take in order to get your OEM T6.1 LEDs to work?
my van was Led Headlight OEM, the plug and wire "headlight side" was ok,
i bought the front and rear leveling sensors for t6.1 model without DCC (iif dcc present ther's 3 sensors, 1 front and 2 at the rear)

ALWR and alwr plug from T6.1, new resistors for blinkers, and a CAN conversion ECU to convert the analog signal from the OEM ecu and wiring of the t6, into the canbus signal for the t6.1 headlight, cause the t6 headlight have 14 pin, the t6.1 model, only 4(plus, negative, canhigh and canlow) and all the functions (drl, indicators, high beam, low beam and levelling) are controlled by can line.

after buying all the parts, i had to change the pinout on the alwr plug, the same thing on the height sensors side plugs, install the canbus conversion unit, change the bcm side pinout and after all change some coding in 09 unit,
simple to write here, but not at all to do
