Problems remapping my Shuttle

I booked my 68 plate Shuttle in for a remap yesterday with a local established company. I was told that it must have had a software upgrade before I bought it last week as the file was too new to remap. The guy didn’t charge me so he had nothing to gain. He said it could be 6 months before a file becomes available. I just don’t fancy driving round for 6 months with 102 bhp. Does anyone have any advice/suggestions?

Cheers.

What's wrong with 102bhp thats all mine is and it gets along ok and I can exceed the national speed limit if I feel like it

I’ve got a 130 Transit Custom work van and the Shuttle just feels a little underpowered in comparison , I’m not wanting to go daft, just another 30 bhp or so would make it a bit more drivable on the roads around where I live.

I am planning a remap on mine (when I get it) and I was warned by my preferred remap company that it may have 'locked-down' ECU installed which would necessitate a bit more work on their part before a map is available.

Assume yours falls into this category as well!

I have been talking to a VAG specialist and he has warned me off ’plug and play’ mobile remappers. He said that going to a specialist, having before and after rolling roading done and a programme written specific to my vehicle is the only way to go. It’ll cost more but I don’t want my engine wrecked.

Newer ECU's are not accessible at present for tuning but yours shoud be built before that. Unfortunately REVO do not have a remap for Euro 6 vans on 102BHP, only euro 5.

I sent Pendle Performance an enquiry via Facebook earlier as it happens. From what I can see on the forum, it’s the place to go?

You’ll be lucky to get a reply. Too busy. I’d phone.
