Price of diesel in your area?

133.9p per litre! I know that prices do go up and down a bit but they are pretty stable at the moment. It really hacks me off me that our local filling station, BP in Aviemore, are just taking the p***.
Like everything else there that garage has always been expensive for fuel. I’m there a lot and very very rarely fill up there

I filled the van up today for the first time since the end of October last year it was 133.9 / litre but I used my fuel card so that will be a 4p/litre saving when the bill comes through! Our first big trip away since then starting on Sunday Yorkshire here we come!!

I pay £1.49 / litre for BP's best brew, I do about £180 a month, I could drive a van much cheaper, something like a Peugeot or similar. My father in law, he's a master of money saving. He drove ten miles further than normal because bread was ten pence a loaf cheaper. And he drove that in his DB7. How does anybody think that stacks up??? :slow rofl:
Life's too short......

If I had a DB7 I would drive the extra 10 miles too.....

After reading this I realize fuel is much cheaper in Australia but our driving distances are probably greater so it may even out.

The shell garage near to me is selling diesel at 137.9 per litre. Robbing sods. It always amazes me when I drive by that folk are fuelling their cars there, considering there is a Tesco not that far away which is considerably cheaper.

168.9!

Yes it's v-power, and yes it's technically a motorway service station, but due to all the white trash down in Kent sucking up all available fuel it was all i could get. Wallet shattering; even more than i paid for the tank of Super 100+ from that Aral station by the Nurburgring!

I was trying to remember the date when there was an uproar over fuel reaching a £1 a litre. I think it was at the end of 2007. In earlier years, anyone remember paying any of these for a litre of petrol?

1 imperial gallon = 4.546 litres

So £1.35 per litre = £6.13p per gallon

Eek

Under 5 shillings ( 25p ) for a gallon when I used to get a can full for my grandfather apprx 1961 I think.

£5.00 a litre at my place, PM for address and I’ll be ready with the jerry can

Big business making hay while the sun shines. The PM telling us it's our fault, and to be fair it sort of is ( lots of muppets voted for this) . What a country we live in currently.

Heating oil costs the same now as diesel did in the early 90's. I might have to get the fuel transfer pump out.

Did you take the Greenshields stamps back to him as well?
Oh, what Green Shield stamps could get you.... 950 books for a Ford Escort 1300 super!

To put it in context, a stamp was awarded for each 2.5 new pence spent. Each book contained 1280 stamps. £30,400 would have to be spent to get the 950 books needed for this car ...or a purchase of 121,600 gallons of petrol at 25p/gallon. So about 4 million miles later, the car would be all yours!

Back in the day when 10% of the petrol came out of the exhaust and the anti roll bar was the roof rack.
