Panel van to........ to be decided.

@Skyliner33

You sent those silver Canteras off yet to be powder coated that nice colour of Apple Candy Red as discussed at summer camp?

Didn't realise it was so long since I updated this thread. Van has changed quite a bit now. Unfortunately I had to return that seat. :(

Its now got a Cali seat installed.

As you have maliciously neglected this thread I feel like you owe us a video walk round tour...

It's a sweet ride - gotta love a pure grey

Where's your photos and updates of the job so far Jon? I know stuff's changing. Let's see the mess you've made hehe

OK, after @Badjamin pestering me ;) , I've just realised how long it its since I posted in this thread.

The van has changed a lot since then.

Anyway I returned the seat I bought as it had a rattle, and fortunately the same day I returned it I saw a brand new California seat in the Bay only a few miles from where I dropped off the seat above. So purchased that and fitted it.
Next job was a ply floor fitted around the Cali rails and topped with Karndean.

Then to make up the rest of the bed a bedboard in the rails:

I then lost a bit of motivation to get the van finished as (after doing most of the install of the diesel heater myself - then hurt my back) had the job finished by a company and they put the outlet in a place that interfered with where most companies put their units.

Pls the fact that I had a higher floor and a lower roof meant most off the shelf units wouldn't fit. So the vas stayed as was for a long time.

I still had to cut a bit out of the left hand side to clear the heater outlet pipe :mad:, but that is covered by a small box I made.

The next problem I had was that the fridge I bought wouldn't fit the units, due to them being a cm or 2 shorter than normal due to the floor. Lesson learned - dont buy stuff before the units are built and collected.

So, fridge sold, and another bought that (with a bit of metal adjustment should fit. The gap I had was 390mm and the fridge with was quoted as 390mm. I new it was going to be tight fit.

So second fridge bought and guess what it measured about 392mm and my gap was 389mm in places. Bolox.

So out came bits of furniture and got to work with a plane and a sander. Eventually the fridge fitted. Winner winner etc.
