New van project

Love it! Not a salad leaf in sight!!

A little heavy on the fruit & veg though - pickled onions, grapes, jam... need I go on?

Nah you need the additions to go with the cheese and meats!

Food of dreams
Yeah it was great instead of the BBQ for a change!
Can I please please come camping with you next time Sam.
Like I really want too.

I’m looking forward to the invite.
Thanks
Ron.
think its Lake Bala next time!

So i had a bit if time this afternoon, i am not great at woodwork and I've only got a jigsaw to use at the moment, think im going to buy a router to do the next set if cuts.

Anyway i got the base in for the toilet and i sat in it and it supported me!

I was quite happy with it all but i had to nip out and round 2 corners this is where it all ended up so the bunjee cords are in place for now!

I then thought i best crack on with the bed as im going camping again soon and i dont want to keep taking the frame out.B40AA885-AFE5-4676-97A3-C84B7ADC35F1.jpeg464DC617-C3A9-4F3F-A200-90AD61A84287.jpegD038AB4C-AEBC-44C4-9D78-6E44EF8D7712.jpegI then used a bit of sticky carpet to see how much i need to trim off so that the boards all fit together nicely.

Then i needed to see which mattress to go with, the inflatable is more comfortable but once in place i cant get underneath, the foam is from the back bedroom futon and zips together and may allow me access underneath a bit easier.

Just as a temp measure to stop the wood sliding about whilst travelling I've put some little L brackets in place. EF9F8DAA-E448-4B5A-8D5B-BE95F840A7F9.jpeg

Still messing with it as i just cant get a company to take on the conversion, spoken to about 6 convertors now! Had 3 of them say yes and never heard from them again.

Looks like you're getting on just fine on your own.

Thanks, i just know what i want it to look like in my head and my woodworking skills dont match that finish haha
You'd be surprised where a bit of care and a lot of sanding will get you with wood.

Done a few little jobs today that I've just been putting off, firstly fitted the THQ dipped beam led bulbs. Just need to watch the video on alignment and do that, finally fastened the hookup cable in place, shortened my solar power cabling. Including a pic of the additional door seals that i did last week. I also made sure i was full supervised at all times hahah

Ok so it looks a little rubbish at the moment but i got the foam for £20! Im going to glue the 3 strips together and then take a grinder with a sanding disc to tidy it all up. Then i have some backing/lining material to keep it all together and then i have some dark fabric to cover it all in.
