problem solved... it turned out that the original remote control was damaged and the new one I bought had the wrong code and could not communicate with the control unit. after buying another remote control that communicates with this control unit, everything works!

Just curious - was the part number different? Possibly the same looking remote but for a different brand of car?

Recently I've bought T6 - TDI 2.0, 2019, plain van
There is an auxiliary heater installed. And it is working (i feel how it heats the cabine).

But I don't understand if it is heating the engine aw well? Could anybody explain how can I check it? And how can I check which name of device is installed (is it webasto, thermo top, air top, z/c ...)? I also have such a control panel as in the first post in this thread, under the roof with LCD and 4 buttons

No, per the coding it does not heat the engine, only the cabin. See post #1.

Hi everyone.

I've got a gen 6 caravelle 2016. I bought this kit for the remote start, fitted it to the green/white cable in pin 1, learnt the remote and changed the coding to remote no screen (I think that makes it 5101) but I can’t get it to start up.

Does it still have to meet the normal conditions for the heater to start (being 5c or less)? Or do I need to change the software in the unit.

I've attached my VCDS reading below.

Any help would be amazing.

The heater starts at any temperature when using a remote. However,

Yes, it's a specific software which has the parking heater functionality and can be started via a remote.
