Future of elevating roofs - Horizon

The best, from start to finish. I was willing to go anywhere in the country to get what I wanted by a company that was able to live up to my high expectations, I couldn't believe they were just around the corner.

I was so impressed with the quality of their work and the customer service they offered I volunteered to become a brand ambassador for them, I don't get anything from them in return, but when a business can easily get caught out in incorrect social media comments I was wanting to ensure they had someone with genuine positive experience to step up and shout about it. As such, I regually pop in unannounced to step in and see what's currently being built, and or what's gona be done next or there newest project, it enables me to offer an outsiders opinion, and sneakingly see what the quality of work is at different stages, even that which is ordinarily hidden.

It means I can come on to the forums and Facebook and offer a true opinion of what they do and what it's like.

You are welcome to come see the workmanship for yourself, just pm me.
Wow - Martin, that's high praise indeed.

What you say mirrors my thoughts following a visit to them in June 2021 and a further discussion with Dan at the NEC show back in Feb. The vibe that I got from Dan and the high quality workmanship they demonstrated were pivotal in my decision to choose them to convert my van, but it's invaluable to me to have that decision vindicated by someone who has been through the conversion process with VTA and experienced the conversion they created. :thumbsup:

Thanks for the offer of a look around your van - only problem is you're a 4/4.5 hour drive away from me. Like you, I was prepared to go anywhere in the country to get what I wanted, but, unlike you, VTA aren't at all local to me. :rofl:

A little cynical @RunDSG. Treat them well, provide excellent service and deliver top-class products and customers will eulogise.
In a world of scams and gimmicks, skepticism is required for survival.

All this flowery praise sounds scripted! …has me looking for the ‘paid advertisement’ notice in the small print.

I get that - I can be a cynical git too - but if you dealt with a company that provided you with excellent customer service, went above & beyond to ensure your complete satisfaction and delivered a top-class product that you were delighted with, how would you respond when asked "how do rate them"?

There are a number of trade members on this forum that provide very high levels of service and products (e.g. CRS Performance, BognorMotors, Dav-Tec, Absolut5) and they get lots of unsolicited, gushing reviews from forum members. I don't see anyone ever questioning the motives for those reviews, so I don't understand why you'd question this review. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I tend to think that if I‘ve paid umteen grand for a product and it was delivered as promised it’s ‘Satisfatory’ as it’s as I expected it to be.
Are customers compensating with praise for what could be a worrying purchase given the previous history?

I suspect there's an element of "I'm so relieved it didn't go wrong because I feared it might" at play, but are you truly saying there's no circumstances that someone could deliver a camper conversion (coz that's what we're referring to here, right?) and exceed your expectations, or that they couldn't do it in such a way as for you to believe they've gone above & beyond?

In my opinion to exceed the specification (expectations) it would require at least one of the following;
1. Reduced cost.
2. Reduced build time.
3. Upgrade to equipment specification without additional cost but with prior agreement of the customer.
4. Increase in warranty duration / spares package / service agreement.

My previous employment involved writing specifications for shipyard repair work and commissioning the result. I do realise that campervans may invoke more emotional responses in some people than machinery.

I'm relieved to hear that it's possible to exceed your expectations - I dread to contemplate the joyless existence of anyone for whom that is not a possibility. I'm also intrigued to note that all of your criteria are tangible, objective and measurable - I assume this is informed by your career experience?

Whilst no sensible person would disagree that it's good to get freebies or to get things cheaper/quicker than agreed, for many, intangible/subjective criteria (approachability, patience, communication, involvement, flexibility, amenability, etc) are just as important, if not, more so. For example, I would give a convertor much better feedback if the experience was enjoyable and harmonious, than I would if, everything else equal, the experience was merely perfunctory, but they'd thrown-in a diesel heater for free. Would you consider that an emotional response on my part?
