That's less than 2k a year.. not so great for long them mechanicals.
Ah, not to worry. When it does get used its usually for many, even hundreds, of miles at a time. It isn't used for short or local journeys. The nature of the mileage it does actually manage is perfectly conducive to good engine health.

The only thing that may suffer is brake discs, but that's not heartbreaking.

I’ve just got a new-to-me Caravelle. 2018 T6, I’m the 2nd owner and it’s got 219500 miles…. 😝

Same but 260,000 (257,000 when I got it a few weeks ago)
I thought the thread was “who has done the most miles in their T6”, so in these cases it’s not you but somebody else who has done the most miles in your new T6’s. 🤪

At 15,000 miles per year, I've updated my mileage to the 100-120K bracket and I'm near the top of that. I've never had a vehicle up at this mileage before so it feels rather ominous but I'm on top of the servicing etc so fingers crossed. I also expect to see that annual mileage drop off by about 5,000 a year due to change in work commute. I think I'd be tempted to drop in a new engine if anything catastrophic happens in that department.

For those who have done this or know about it, what exactly is included in an 'engine', does it include everything under the bonnet or does it exclude clutch, gearbox, radiator, alternators etc or are those considered separate? I've seen prices for new or reconditioned engines so I'd assume you're getting one fitted for under £10K inc VAT. You wouldn't get much of a Transporter replacement for that price.

Not good to leave ball, roller or needle bearings in the same position for too long. Just turning the engine over / rolling a meter on the driveway can avoid this.
