Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

The amount of times we took the kids down there back in the 90s to wear them out and watch the model glider enthusiasts.
One memorable time we turned up on a Sunday morning just as an Exodus rave was winding down, stepping out of the car at the top carpark it literally felt like the air and trees were pulsing, looking down all you could see were a few cars with open doors until we walked a bit further and saw the curtainsider HGV lorry and what looked like the last of the walking dead, brilliant.

I went to Raglan (NZ) for a catchup with some mates. Raglan is a mecca for left braek surfing an is now included in the world chanpionships in a few weeks

Many surfers have already arrived and the place is full of campervans

I also spotted a pristine Orange T2 and spoke to the owner - A UK guy who had shipped it over to tour NZ in, Originally from German Fire brigade an he has tavelled extensively it it throughout the world. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo.

Some nice rides from there , .
Exit dales bike centre carpark and there is what seems like a near vertical climb to fremington edge lol.
Check out "ARD ROCK" MTB festival, even if you just go for the camping , beer , bands ,trade stalls etc. Brilliant mtb event in beautiful scenery, .
Alot of ARD ROCK route is only open to public riding for the event
I booked on with eldest daughter for the first time this year.

Same here although it does struggle if there's a lot of background noise ie. traffic, here it's only managed to identify a Grackle from the balcony outside out of at least six small bird types because of the pounding surf.

We've been out in the van Today, to meet your miracle.

IT'S A BOY!!!

Our 1st born, due October.

Goodbye any van mods, Hello nappies and other baby like necessities.
No cooling off period if you change your mind but then it's a boy so far less moving parts and fuzzy logic to contend with, we had two boys and stopped there, good luck to you both.

...stopping overnight at Ingliston Estate on the way to Oban & Mull.

Wouldn't bother with Ingliston for a stopover on the way north if I was doing it again; I'd keep going a bit further and stop at Luss or Tyndrum, or just go straight to Oban.

Spent 2 nights at Oban Holiday Park. Not recommended (Will post a review in the campsites thread later). Nice enough location and very handy for Oban though.

Beautiful day today in Oban, and a perfect crossing to Mull - no issues with schedules, in fact since we arrived at the port early for our booked 12:15 sailing, they let us go on the 11:25 instead.

Now at Salen Bay Campsite for four nights. Lovely site, great pitch with amazing views, very friendly staff and spotless facilities. Happy Days! ☺️

There are otters at Salen Bay. Friend was up there a couple of days ago.
Stayed on that site - it was windy as hell.
Are you going to stay at Fidden Farm. The beach there is spectacular.
