I thought it was, we stayed there years ago before the NT owned it great area if you like walking stright off site or want to get the train down to Ravenglass
Better late than never! Camping Orio was great but very busy. We took a 2¢ half hour train journey from there to San Sebastian (trains all very clean and bang on time!) - never been there before but now wonder why not as it was great. The old town is packed with bars serving pintxos and drinks various but we stuck with a couple of (very) local ciders which only come in very small servings (as I've got older, my taste for days;ight drinking has diminished). We also managed to scoff some Basque Cheesecake but didn't know until afterwards that the bar we got it in (La Vina) was apparently ground zero for it. From San Sebastian we went back to the campsite as the weather turned from mostly sunny to very overcast and blowy before the rain set in for most of Thursday. Mind you that all meant surfs up so some were very pleased.
We're now at Camping Les Ourmes in Hourtin for the weekend. Much quieter and very nice. The excellent restaurant (Le Patio) we ate in last night didn't have any cider but the excellent local beer was a worthy substitute.
