We've just put the pop top down here at Salen Bay because it's blowing a hoolie. If the awning is still there in the morning, it might be a challenge to pack it awayWhat a b*#tard that awning was to put up on my own in the wind.
It's those having to put the poptop down moments that make you appreciate having one all the more! We've just put the pop top down here at Salen Bay because it's blowing a hoolie. If the awning is still there in the morning, it might be a challenge to pack it away![]()
It's so quiet and cosy with the lid down though - it's making me look rather enviously at the high top T6 next door (another Autohaus incidentally)It's those having to put the poptop down moments that make you appreciate having one all the more!
Thank you for the Puffins, I'm so easily pleased!
i bottled it at 1-30am back in April with storm Dave, 50mph winds but the debus awning was still up but i couldn't stand the noise any more and not sure if it would have been there in the morningWe've just put the pop top down here at Salen Bay because it's blowing a hoolie. Our poptop was lowered last year in Bala, the air awning stayed strong but we lost the Joolca double ensuite to the winds! That was a fun night!i bottled it at 1-30am back in April with storm Dave, 50mph winds but the debus awning was still up but i couldn't stand the noise any more and not sure if it would have been there in the morning

CorrectFingal's Cave?
Calm and warm this morning. The bay is like a mirror. Can't count the number of times I banged my head last nightBoth the pop top and awning came down when i was there on the 16th/17th Apr and the ground sheet was water logged and binned.![]()

It's a peaceful place and hot tubs are 2 person only with the only 2 people using the pitch being allowed. There's an onsite bar, club and restaurant for folks to socialise in and even that was well behaved and considerate to others re sound levels. Campervan pitches away from the bar and club etc so quiet. Bar and club close at 10pm. The not inconsiderable price per night looks to deter rowdy folk tooInteresting concept but I'm not sure I'd want to be going to bed with next doors hottub party just getting going......
The very best sort of establishment. You'd fit in well hereSounds good. I'm probably just a bit traumatised from our 1 night Shepherds Hut guests last night. Rocked up at 6pm, left by taxi at 6.30pm, came back pissed at 10pm then up all night til 3am with more drinks and general loudness. Left at 10am, with no attempt to tidy up, damaged a light fitting, lit the log burner an hour before they left too. Delightful. We are a quiet, isolated countryside, nature admiring establishment.
Hot tub mmm it could come in handy if the dog had rolled in something dreadfulView attachment 325854View attachment 325855

Last night of 3 at Kip & Nook in Darlington. Cracking place with a fine taste in ornamental bmw shaped eye candy, lovely staff and beautiful food. Apparently they hold regular car meets too. Hot tub on pitch and an hour in the sauna. Highly recommended![]()
