What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

@Drive Wayne @Rioja John - Funnily enough, I finally got around to getting a bigger distribution box to do my poptop lighting last week and am only now lacking the lights strips themselves. I won't have enough time do do anything for a while though because we're through the tunnel next Wednesday and will be away for a month. However, Mrs AJ came home from the local garden centre yesterday with a 20M string of tiny fairy lights powered by 3 X AA batteries so I promptly nicked them from her and am going to try them in the roof later today to see how they look. I know they probably won't be very bright in place under the roof but are surprisingly so when switched on in a darkened room so we will see. That said, I'm not wanting anything too bright as I don't really want to illuminate the surroundings as such or, indeed, under the roof itself - all I'm really wanting is a bit of gently flashing / twinkling bling and they might well do the job.
I'll report back at some point.

The COB lights are good because they are on a self adhesive tape, so there are no issues with the lid closing, we use some 3xAA battery ones on our guy ropes which is good at night as something to aim for when heading back to the van whilst under the affluence of incohol!

These look superb! Same or similar to my Mrs’s Golf R-Line…. very comfortable (especially when heated), but I’d definitely miss no armrest’s!?
I am already missing the arm rest. I am wondering if I can get the THQ one I already have fitted to the seat, but I do not really want to take the seat apart. I am considering a centre console.

So had a rather plain driver's side door panel (have got the Loc8 table t'other side), so got myself a Kiravan door store... not sure what I'll put in it, so no doubt will just end up being more places to stash cake. I did accessories with my carpet pads to keep the house style...

After routing my dc-dc starter to charger cable and fitting my earth under the passenger seat on Friday.
Today I set about completing the first stage of my 12v system (battery, earth, charger and buss bars)
Connected it all up and powered on. Battery happy and charger working.

Disconnected from battery afterwards and I'll drive around for a week, check connections and go firm if it's all OK.

Final fitting and covers will be applied once I'm happy so ignore the temporary look of the setup
