What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

£4.85 postage for me, I just need someone to risk a set on a barn doors, I suppose the fronts will still work.
They need a slight mod as well for a 6.1, no pleasing me is there...
It's a no from me Andy!
I probably should have been clearer in my post… perfect fit for me but I have T6 tailgate👍.

bought another more expensive set of HIDs as I’ve always though the ones I had were a bit 💩, and a bit too blue even though the said they were 6000k colour.

New HIDs passenger side, original HIDs drivers side. Need I say any more.

Good things. The digital dash and screen were great. There felt more room for my legs as no gear stick and plastic surround. Dash seemed quite nice compared to the 6.1. Electric made it very quiet.

Bad things. You can tell it’s a transit. The big van mirrors. You seem to sit further away from the front of the van. Lots of bonnet visible. It had lane assist which was very annoying. Every time I looked at the digi dash it told me I was tired and to take a break.

Really bad. I picked the van up battery was 62%. I drove home , 32 miles of m62 and then back again. I was having real range anxiety all the way back. 22% and 24 miles left.

Thanks. Although it was interesting as it was electric.

So you're gonna buy one, yeah?

Which hids did you buy? And are they in standard headlights ?

Fitted a wolfbox mirror replacement dashcam with rear camera. Bought it in dec so thought it time to fit it before its warranty runs out 😁 Well impressed with the build quality and camera images. Went for the 4k version. Highly recommended 👌

Had mine for 2 years now. It's bob on, would defo recommend. The rear camera cable is a bit of a pita to route and install, especially through the rear barn door rubber boot, but it's worth it in the end.

Lent it to the missus, who's carless for a few days. It was that or my Volvo, and was a difficult decision, but I've had the Volvo 22 years and it'd be like losing a limb if something happened to it, so I reluctantly gave her the keys to the van, albeit with instructions about where not to park it!

I do find myself stressed when wifey takes my van! They had a few days oop North a couple of weeks ago, today is the first dry day I've had chance to open the lid after the rains they had up there!
She's stealing it again in the summer to do camp Bestival down south with elder daughter and grand daughter. I wonder what will go wrong there! I've just fixed the left hand drivers armrest that was seized solid, bless....

Mrs Sasquatch is actually a very good driver. Its just twice in three years now shes had cars driven into and smacked up while legally and considerately parked, and I dont want my van ending up the same way. Instructions for no on street parking anywhere!

Mind you, driveways aren't always safer. Last year a pisshead driver flew into my daughters front garden at warp 4 and smashed into the Mini Cooper she'd only brought the previous week. She had to stop her semi-pro rugbyist feller from dragging him out and giving him a 5 knuckle driving lesson.Clearly the women of my family have some kind of magnetic attraction for idiot drivers.

Northampton - the habitat of the really shit drivers.

I promise you, you haven't really seen reckless, lawless driving until you've experienced Bradford - it's like Islamabad, but with 500+ BHP Audis/Mercs instead of scooters/mopeds.
I can raise you on that. Bolton. Did you see the crash recently. Over 120mph in a 30. A week after the driver had rolled his car.
But they were really nice lads 😡

Strange that, innit (🙄) - they're always really nice lads.

I agree that every area can cite horrendous examples of mindless driving, but I honestly think Bradford "wins" on a couples of bases:
(1) Prevalence - fck-wit driving is ubiquitous and omnipresent.
(2) The probability of being identified, caught, prosecuted and convicted is near-zero.

Unfortunately (1) results in (2) and (2) encourages (1).

That sounds exactly like Bolton especially in a couple of areas.
I am willing to place a bet there is a common denominator.
