What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I think it is this I'm not keen on putting under scuttle as there will be water ingress. I layered the sound deadening mat to create a fall left and right as to avoid water pooling.

@sgh Looks like 35mm Sound Buffler isn’t on the market anymore, how about this

I wouldn’t worry about water pooling you’d have to use a spirit level to park for that to happen and if it did it wouldn’t be any worse than a wet van.

I am also in same predicament....but different globe for my reversing lights on T6.1.
Anyone with knowledge of what to replace with for more illumination and no error codes?

All sorted....I have fitted iilumo Flame + T15 globes....Evarything seems to be working fine...thanks for everyones comments..Cheers and Merry Christmas to you all.

I’ve fitted this in my 2018 T6 and no issues at all. Very easy to swap out and not even a hint of an error code. This is their NZ site but will likely auto direct you to your local page when you click the link: Reversing light LED pack for Volkswagen Multivan / Transporter T6
Is this just bulb swapping?

I’ve swapped from halogen to LED but still seems pretty sub standard.

I had seen @Sasquatch did some swamped style inserts but I wouldn’t fancy cutting into the van. So wasn’t sure if something similar than can attach under bumper or somesuch?

I did indeed.

Requires cutting into the trim panels beneath tbe rear clusters, butntheyre easily replaced so its a reversible mod.

Yep, just a straight swap of the bulb. This is def much brighter than the original one I removed. It’s not as bright as floodlighting, but likely you could add an external light somewhere discreet if you wanted. Unless you have a swamper - then you’re obligated to put it somewhere conspicuous, as long as it won’t compromise your departure angles.

An 11hr round trip for me today to pick up Van Diesel from Darkside. They have done an amazing job and the drive home was superb. Van feels like new and the power difference is noticeable to say the least. It was an expensive undertaking but I'm so glad I've done it now and not just chopped Van in for a new model.

Work done as follows

New standard T32 suspension all round
New CXEB engine and all associated ancillaries
New turbos
New vibration damper and flywheel
New intake manifold with swirl flap delete
Adblue deleted
Dpf cored and deleted
Engine mapping for above deletions
Dsg remap

Booked it in with my local independent German car specialist for service and MOT next month.

I wanted some lights on the courtesy light feed so when I open the doors I get a bit of background lighting while I hunt for the main leisure battery light switch — instead of doing the usual midnight fumbling routine in the dark.

So I’ve just fitted these mini blue LED spots to the rear bulkhead I got off Ebay 🚐💡

Had a busy couple of days.
Swapped my flat bottom carbon fibre steering wheel with a standard jobbi that I retrimmed myself.
Followed by the 240v installation and THQ stealth flap. Lastly was a couple of storage nets for the side panels. Phew, I think I need a lie down.

Good work delpel, how did you find the stealth flap to fit? It's on my list for the new year. Still also deciding whether to go left or right flap too!

Is this what you used?

No I used 35mm Sound Buffler, stupid name and they don’t sell it anymore. 35mm closed cell acoustic foam with a foil cover.
I’ve used a cheap Amazon 10mm self adhesive closed cell foam on the cab roof (2 layers) and on the cab door cards (1 layer).
With the scuttle I’d say get as much in as possible, that’s about 35mm and take you time with cardboard templates to keep it tight (1 sq M is enough).
EDIT: 10mm also applied to the back of the wheel arch liners.
