What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Managed to get 17" bronze wheels fitted today further to lift kit being fitted earlier this week. Undecided about what I'm doing with the black tomahawk ones. Think the shed for now. I'll decide whether to keep or sell them later. Just needs a wash now. Never been this filthy since I've had it 😫

Not driven it yet as more to finish with the sound deadening. Moving onto underside of bonnet next then front and rear wheel arches.
Let us know once it is done then. I hadn’t even thought about underside of bonnet tbh.

I have only done the roof and sides at the moment. Not done arches, can roof, scuttle or floor yet.

Intrigued at the difference those bits will add.

Bonnet most likely won't make any difference.

When I did my LR in Dynamat that was the last part I did but never noticed any improvement. I did go overboard everywhere else and it made huge difference. As the LR was brand new I even did parts of the floor from the underside of the vehicle. Doing outer skin of the doors then the internals plus layer of closed cell foam made biggest difference.

I bought 5 boxes (200 sheets) of the Dodo Mat Pro and should just have enough left to finish it. I'll cancel gettiong it lowwered all that weight should bring it down 😂

Ripped it apart, emptied everything out, emptied all tool boxes of things I carry as I have lost my fricking VCDS genuine lead and well that is the expensive bit. I have other gadgets I can use just Id like to know where it is!

I dont remember if it comes in a case from the UK distributor or just a loose lead? Maybe I left it in UK by accident.

Fitted a new set of front wiper blades (A315S) to my 6.1 ahead for a cross Europe winter trip. I usually change them twice a year however forgot to change them earlier in the year. I always try to change in November and definitely before big trips in Winter. Nice and cheap on Amazon Italy about 20 Euro (where I am right now). I stick the old ones in the box, write the date on it and they travel with me "just in case" :p :p then they go into the garage when I get back.

Looks good. how are you finding the Comfoser tyres? Noise, MPG, grip and ride etc?

Thinking of a similar set of wheels and tyres on my 6.1 van.

Tried to improve the really low light of a single reversing bulb (tailgate t6). Followed another thread and ordered what I thought was correct LED.

Pic attached?!. What do I need please learned gentlemen? And are there any Luddite friendly aftermarket lights that are plug and play and a fool (me) could install?IMG_5291.webpleft is what was in situ

The drive back from the place that did wheel swap for me was fine. Not driven it on any fast roads or motorways yet so I'll confirm after we've been away next. The wheel and tyre package was already done before I won them on ebay direct from jbw. They were ex display ones but never driven on or fitted to anything so brand new. £950 delivered. I did a bit of homework re the comforser tyres and found lots of positive feedback so I'm sure they'll be fine. I'll report back in a couple of weeks re the noise, mpg etc.

The existing bulbs have a bayonet fitting, and the ones you have bought are a T15 or T20 fitting.
You will need to get a replacement bulb with the same bayonet fitting.
