What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Finally swapped out the door speakers in my 2018 T6 SWB! The driver door speaker looked like it had been under a waterfall, so no wonder it wasn’t working… Replaced with Focal ISU 165 with an adapter ring. Massive improvement over stock - or maybe it’s just because I can hear it on my side now! Yet to fit the tweeters, but will do soonish.

Big thanks to @Absolut5 for the advice and recommendations; much appreciated from the other side of the world!

Tides the switch a treat. Would you mind to send me the details of where you purchased the ring from please?
I just found this on AliExpress:
2,25€ | Car Headlight Switch Decorative Frame Trim Ring Sticker Fit for Volkswagen VW Golf Jett MK5 MK6 Passat B6 B7 CC Touran Tiguan

Thanks! Wanted to be able to change the control knob part as well to the normal chrome part, but seems you can only do that with swapping the entire unit out. VW really cut back in every little area with these!

They are cheap enough on ebay as they are the same as a golf mk7. Just have to find one with the right number lights on it. Think I paid £15.

Fitted ANOTHER set of Heko wind deflectors.

I have lost one for each of 2 sets (on two vehicles) BUT not on different sides so couldnt even make a pair from two singles.

This is since having a house up a bumpy road and in general bumpy Italian roads. I was already using 4 clips per side. Well now there are 6!

I really should just add "check the deflectors" to my routine monthly schedule...............

Spent 2 hours polishing the diamond cut faces of the wheels using autosol and a buffing wheel attached to the drill. Came up well and the wheels live to fight another year.
Then I washed the van and towel dried it. Didn't even have time to put tyre shine on my new tyres.
Used the G Technic iron fallout spray for the first time. A few quick sprays across the wheel. leave it 5 mins and everything came up lovely with a quick whizz round with the wheel brush. Very impressed. Better than whatever brand of falllout remover I used last time.
