I've done exactly the same thing.... Why do they make those adjustment screws plastic. Is there a particular brand that are made better with metal screws?

OE VW ones do indeed have a metal worm drive type thread.

Rather than mess about with pattern ones I bought a used OE pair from a Passat for £8 in Ebay. A quick clean and they were like new (no moving parts to wear out, of course) and didnt even need to adjust them.

Installed another 100 ah lithium battery giving 300 ah of lithium.

Added a table rail to drawer so table can be used not only internally but now also externally for extra flexibility/al fresco dining. Will test for height when van loaded with camping clobber then replace MDF with phenolic ply.

You will notice a big difference in drivability going from 16” to 17”

Carpeted the Cab roof lining to match the rear of the van

Tlc on the van today, replacing the radiator fan and power steering pump. Can't say it was fun but all sorted and both problems resolved.

@Jimer We had the same idea with the puller but I used bits cut from a wire coat hanger!

I left Busfest on Sunday for a pleasant 10 mile run to my mother's in Worcester.
I always have the drivers window open about an inch.
It's now pouring, proverbial cats and dogs.
Get to Mom's, remember she doesn't have proper tea bags or proper milk.
Quick dash into the slidy door to retrieve a couple of PG's finest (stored in the useful sink) and milk.
I press the fob button to lock up. Very occasionally a slightly open window confuses my vans brain, and the window goes down and not up.
This was that occasion. 3 hours of heavy rain went through my now half open window.
Soaking seat, and soaking window buttons. Side pocket carpets saturated.
Window controls on drivers door were not working any more.
Day off today, so out with the trim tools to take out the door button unit, diesel heater up to high in the van.
An hour of hair dryer blowage into the door then the buttons. A serious dry out basically.
Put it all back together, it only works again!
Potential for future problems maybe, but for today I'm happy!

Gave both the van and the daily a good clean today!

And trying to decide where I can fit some additional T6 interior LED lights.

So after a very expensive week ( flywheel, clutch, crank seal, water pump, cambelt and drop links) i decided to treat the drama queen to a good scrub.
Also fitted rear bumper protector as dont want to batter it at work and tinted fogs (unsure what i think to them yet, mrs doesnt like them)

Love yellow fogs but not sure it works so well on white maybe the clear lenses keep everything looking cleaner/ brighter with the white .
Any before and after comparison pics ?
Did you use film ? (Laminex or similar) .
