I’ve got no idea how old they actually are? I bought the van 2 years ago and they looked a little shabby by the front wheels, by no means rotten, van needed some bodywork done and i asked the bodyshop to re-paint them at the same time, a few months ago i noticed some light rust appearing n thought i’ll get em powder coated, wrong!! thats why i’ve bought alloy n abs plastic ones and they can be used as a proper step!
Would you recommend Lano? Have you dosed the enture underside? Where'd you buy it?
I used lanoguard when I did a full brake refresh on my Boxster. I coated the inside of each wheel arch and all the brake lines, and they have stayed immaculate. I would definitely recommend it. I bought it directly from Lanoguard themselves.
For those in New Zealand there is a place that makes/sells "Prolan" which is lanoline with a carrier for spraying. That is what I use.

Its a lot less expensive than Lanoguard and IMHO superior, leaving a visibly thicker film.
Yep, done done all the undersides, arches, subframe, lower engine bay, scuttle. Very quick and easy to apply, doesnt allow rust to spread unseen, and repels water a treat. 30-45 minutes once a year is all it takes.
The 2.5 litre container has done me two annual treatments and still have a third left.

Have mine a long deserved wash. I particularly enjoyed doing the new wheels as the ceramic coating I applied meant the lightest of touch with a wash mitt on the front faces and just remaining shampoo from the bucket was enough, without brush or wheel cleaner.
Had to roll the van back to do the backs, as my long brush was definitely not fitting between rim and Caliper. It’s literally only a few mm gap with Devonport’s on a T32.
