What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Fitted new washer nozzles. Nice easy mod...much better 👌🏼
Encouraged by @vwjack I've ordered and fitted today new washers too. Superb mod! however I bought non ori part, and need to send one back (ajustment screw was plastic and broke while adjusting :/). Anyway, better than original jet washers 👌

One remark to the part number :
There its a heater version as well 1 number difference see image

I've checked with local dealer and current part replacement is `5G0 955 986` (5G0 instead of 5M0)

I've got a set, apparently for a Passat, just waiting to fit them.

Oddly the heated ones can be had cheaper than the unheated ones.

So a successful millionth project on the Van.

I now have a Recoil Di550 Class D amp running Alpine SpC108Ts in the front and their own MX65s fitted to the Rib in the rear. Alongside that i have the JBL Basepro Nano as the subwoofer. All the DSP is done by my Halo 11.

what i like is that through time correction and separate HPF and LBF you can set the SpC108T to run mid range, the rears to run a little bit higher and use the Halo 11 fader to get a lovely balance.

Before I fitted the Recoil, I was running the Halo 11
volume at 23 now its down to 11

Loving the sound and Darth Vader is keeping a careful watch on everything

IMG_0356.jpegIMG_0354.jpegAdded some 30mm spacers to the rears. Was going for 25mm on the front but whoever put the new tyres on the front rattle gunned the bolts to the point that a breaker bar and 5 ft of scaffold tube wouldn’t budge one bolt. There’s going to be a phone call tomorrow to the stealership about that issue. Also booked a remap at Bognor for Tuesday morning to give a bit more pulling power.IMG_0362.webpAfterwards. Awesome service from wheel parts with next day delivery.

A pair of used 5M0955985C9B9 for ÂŁ8 from ebay. Straight swap, didn't even need tools to remove the old ones.

I've heard the pattern ones can be a bit variable, ranging from s**t to OK, so went for genuine ones, albeit used, for less cash. Its not like they get worn out!
Hmmm…. well after the great upgrade idea from @vwjack and the link gratefully supplied by @Matt-T68 I ordered and received said washer jets…. I fitted them yesterday evening no problem, but wasn’t quite happy with the spray pattern…. it seemed too high and heading up onto the roof! So today I set about adjusting them…. it’s most probably my heavy handedness, but whilst adjusting slowly and carefully (and with no resistance) one of them broke!

So that went straight in the bin and I decided to wash the original parts in hot soapy water and refit.

Were yours pattern parts or original? My research suggests the OE ones had a metal wormmdrife in the adjuster whereas the pattern ones are plastic.
