What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Aaah you know when your having a bad week.. Van is now 6months old.. about 3k on the clock and wanted to adjust the solow suspension slightly on the rears.. all fine until taking the bolts out of the anti roll bar from the suspension arm.. 1st bolt came out with threads on 😮 2nd snapped inside the arm ffs! Filled the swear jar many times over after snapping the extractor tool with the hardened bit inside too.. long story but got it out and ordered new bolts! Discovered the 1st bolt thread has gone even with a long bolt aaahhh.. looking like will have to helicoil 😡 can only assume damaged when VW fitted or when the suspension was changed (which was done when new before bought)?? Anyone else had a similar issue?

Had the exact same thing happen to me @Stu007. Be careful when putting the helicoils in as they're not blind holes, the coil can end up winding in too deep before you realise.

Needed new tyres so after much research I went for the Fuel Zephyr with Falken 235/65/17. Unbelievable improvement in ride comfort.
Massive thanks to Elite Wheel and Tyres in Reading. Charlie opened up especially for me and had coffee ready when I arrived after a 2.5 hr drive from Wales. Top service from Charlie. View attachment 223760
Im really interested to know, since you had these wheels and tyres fitted, how they have performed.... (Im looking at a similar set up myself)?

It's from Custom Camping we got ours discounted at the NEC show back on I think February.

Was easy to fit and the seal was no issue but I'm sure mine is well used and the convertor had probably had it off a few times.

Looks nice wonder if trimming would be better done before rubber back in places 🧐 defo will save link for it

Thanks BoroBoy, I'm planning some high level storage now with lighting underneath but still gonna fit something the other side and these look good 👍

I've got a very similar set up, wildpeaks in 245/65r17 - cannot recommend them enough. Quiet, comfortable, grippy in torrential rain.

Wired in a new 12v ciggy socket from the LB to power our vans second fridge for the awning, the wife's milk fridge! I know I spoil her, but now not the milk.
Very impressed after overnight temps were kept at 2 degrees or less.
Outwell Arctic Chill 8, doubles up as a seat/step/USB charger and its own app!
Quite miserly on power on Eco mode. LB on 91% this morning with both fridges on.
Interesting how it handles today's 40+ degrees internal van temp...
