What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Bit more progress on my storage solution.
Storage bins built and sliders fitted for fridge and future kitchen pod build. Allows me to have the flexibility of withdrawing the whole tray to access the rear storage when setting up camp. Or only pulling out the kitchen pod and fridge if I just want a quick brew

Repost of the Alpine tweeters, don’t ask - it’s a long story . Also, I did a full install in the end, 6 channel amp, 12” sub, component door speakers, rear speakers, all of which is hidden away out of sight. I might do a thread on the whole thing as I struggled to find info on some of the things I had to figure out myself, like mounting the amp under the drivers seat, running the power easily from the battery to the amp, finding factory earth points that can be used etc etc.

They look mint !!!

It’s amazing the amount of space in the back of the vans. A death star, who would know!

I’m well impressed with the design @Jonah1972. It all looks very neat and easy
Cheers, I was looking at the OVANO and Slidepod solutions but couldn’t swallow the price at this point in time so went down the DIY route. The bespoke design suits our needs perfectly and is modular so I can remove everything to convert back to a van with about 20mins of effort. #builtnotbought :)

Looks amazing and I have been thinking about doing something similar, but that is perfect! - what do you reckon it cost all in for materials?

FYI I am hoping to go to Bus Fest next month if anyone wants to have a look at them / hear them in the flesh. Just pm me.

Hard wired the dashcam today. Two casualties; 1. The A pillar handle cover & 2. My pride; as I bought the wrong kit initially. Bought the correct hardwire kit for the cam I have in the car but I bought the kit and camera together and made a mistake somewhere.

Fitted all ok now so happier than I was yesterday

Probably a dull question, but why not mount it on the shaded part on the windscreen with the lens just below? It would be less conspicuous and you'd have less dangling wire.
