What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Quite a productive day today!
Started with fitting my VWCarbon bumper protector, Sounds like a Golf door seals, Rubber end seals on the windows and Vamoose awning rail.

Asked a local converter if they could fit my awning rail and they quoted me £110+Vat, I mentioned Vamoose only charge £50 which they replied they’re based in Sheffield which is 80 mile away. Would work out cheaper driving there and getting them to fit it!

Fake rear blackout windows next???

Used it as an office during a visit to mother-in-law (aka Grandma) - such a useful place to escape to!

I used the van as an office once outside work and using the broadband, to do a speed awareness course. The coordinator couldn’t tell me what speed I could drive it at!!!

Is Donald Trump a member of this forum…?!!!
If he is, any mention of delayed factory orders would have him telling us very loudly how that would never happen in America - which he made great again in case you didn’t know.

And any mention of parts made in China, would have him shouting from the rooftops how very bad it was of VW to do business with them, and which would also never happen in America - did he mention he made that great again?

But apparently he says we can use disinfectant instead of Adblue, and that sunlight protects VW paint, so it’s all good

Where did you get the window rubber end trims from?

A bit more design and development. Cutting and welding to lower the bed seat so both mattress halves will fit and I don’t have a big flololopy mattress to store during the day when camping!

In a T6 and yea, fitted them myself. If you are using the original head unit to power them it’s a 15 minute job as they connect into the existing loom, but I powered them from an amp so took a little longer with running the speaker cables.
Where did you purchase from? Best price I can find is £334 for the kit including door speakers.

Fitted some cheap temporary fairy lights until I get the leisure battery and electrics sorted. £10 for two sets! The other set I’ll use in the awning.

It’s our first stay away in the van so currently using a temporary setup with the IKEA bed and 50L Really Usefull Boxes another member recommended.

Took the van for a MOT at an indie garage only to be told the near side headlight was massively out of alignment,... problem soon rectified .
When it had its last mot 1500miles ago at the local VW center they said the lights were fine
