A newbie here so be gentle!

I have a 2017 DSG T28 and recently retrofitted a Westfalia removeable swan neck tow bar and dedicated electrics supplied by PFJones. The intention was to then take it to my local VW garage to get the trailer module recording I need. This is where I came unstuck; when I called they said they can't do it as they don't have the equipment. I can't believe this but couldn't see how arguing would help, so now I'm in a quandary and am looking for some guidance...

If I use the trailer as is, what issues might I have? The van has factory reversing sensors and camera. All the lights seem to work when I connect the trailer electrics.

Does anyone know where I might get the coding done, ideally local to Ayrshire/SW Scotland?

I tried a local VW/Audi specialist and they couldn't help either.

Would a local caravan centre not have the equipment as they would be fitting towbar most days or is this just something Vw do as I’m going to fit a towbar also.

Hi, I have the towbar and wiring fitted, it's just the coding of the ECU I'm after.

Hi, anyone know of anyone in south west Scotland able to recode a T6 Transporter van following a Westfalia tow bar fit? The kit and dedicated loom were from PFJones, but the two nearest VW places have failed me!

Don't think I'm down as having vcds on the map but have got a 10 vin one down in Kirkcudbright with space for more vehicles on it. Send me a pm and we can sort something out.

I have a 2018 T6 and want 2 jobs doing - high and low beam on together for aftermarket lights and to tell the ECU there are buttons on the steering wheel

I have Hex+can if that's any use? Works on my 2017 but think there's maybe an issue on later models?

Have latest Ross-Tech VCDS HEX-V2 with 16-pin diagnostic socket for scans
also have an older HEX-USB+CAN lead for scans.

Hi, saw that you have vcds in North Lanarkshire. I am East Kilbride and looking to change my battery on my t6 and need to code the new battery to the van,( its a 2018 t6). Is the coding something you could help me with? Thanks in advance
