Hi @Wildcamper, nice van. How does the high roof impact MPG?
As you might expect this depends on driving style. We have had the van since new, done 20,000 miles and the overall average is 36.89mpg. I have recorded all refilings and calculated mpg per refuel and the on going overall. I drive the van carefully as recorded by the on board VW assessment. So on motorway my max is 65 mph and I aim to restrict engine revs to 3000rpm. Have conducted some experiments on changing driving style. At 70 on motorways the mpg drops between 5 and 10% and if one can get away with 55 on a motorway the mpg rises by a similar amount. My record is 43 mpg on one trip but restricting to 55. My lowest mpg on one refuel was 33.67 where we had been on coastal roads in Devon. The vehicle is not used for local short journeys unless a must. So overall for 20,000 including my experiments the mpg is 36.89. Hope this helps

That's very good going. I expected it to be a lot lower than that

Hi everyone, wish I’d kept more of an upto date log on my van I bought it about a month ago and quickly decided I wanted to change things, gradually working through and doing bits each day hopefully take some better pictures and pop up soon

Just found a couple pictures the day after I got it B&Q had a sale on so grabbed some of thier click together vinyl flooring intending to just floor upto the units I ended up hitting the van in the end much to the wife’s disgust new van and ripped it apart, although I’m a mechanic I had minimal tools at home so I thought I’d share my specialist spanner skills too see third photo

Great thought I’d lube up my pop top hinges today ( the excitement was tremendous) bloody bolt hanging out the roof, the morons that fitted my roof rather than rivnut like I would have thought be the obvious choice they used self drilling bolts so one job crossed off and new one added, it’s getting there but I do hope I never meet who ever done the conversion all the bits are right just fitted wrong

Ahhh I see. Which one? And can you see the screw heads on it. As I have been previously put off by the Reimo roof for that reason.
