Yeah my rubbers come next week. Carpet lining ,sound deadening and speaker upgrade has been done just waiting to pick it up after vinyl wrap, ppf and ceramic coating
Ride is spot on , they are 275/40s so plenty of tyre there . Though I put the 17s on the old van when I stole her 20s and it feels weird , very light ! Can’t say I notice the extra 50bhp over my other van , and miss the sport mode .
New van day was ruined by a misaligned front bumper. Line was awful with it touching one end and gap the other. Probably going to have to go back to wales View attachment 147629
How does the ceramic bond to the ppf? I do wax over my ppf, but only for the beading effect. Nothing seems to stick to the film that won't pressure wash off.
How were your paintwork when you collected , mine is in a poor state , how can they swirl it to fcuk washing it once ! I need to get it in the garage for a correction before doing anything .

Get yourself a da polisher some yellow rupes pads , some uno protect and it’s an easy job , something like bead maker to wipe off , will take off all minor swirls , you will never hand polish again , whole van in half hour ish
It's a free service offered by pretty much all main dealers, and not just VW dealers either.
It always makes me laugh when people get excited because the dealer has washed their vehicle when it's been in for a service.
Whenever any of my vehicles need to go into a garage I make a point of telling them not to wash it.
Yeah I made sure they didn’t prep the van so it hasn’t been touched. We picked up a startline in nov and it looked like it had been washed with a brick.
Audi did the same when I sent my RS5 in for a service and requested no one wash it, came back covered in swirls. You would think people would be educated at these places about paintwork

Did the muppets in wales not remove the transport coat before delivering to the dealer ? I usually don’t let them touch my vehicles either , but was not coming straight home with the van . Thought with grey I might get off with it , no luck !
Back from having some TLC at the paint detailers now it looks shiny, wont be for long! There was some overspray, few marks on the spoiler wont ever see it on the roof but otherwise this one appears not to be a Friday afternoon put together job
