Because it’s a Rubber CV boot, it’s entirely possible it’s been damaged by any number of other ways, than the “converters”.

It was damaged by converters... /or by whoever installed them coils ....... Vw confirmed

Yes to be fair Vw have sorted it .... & checked over rest of van. ...

So a week in with the Sportline, a few little niggles, but jeezo , why is the sound system so crap, it is absolutely awful !!! What are people doing to improve this ?

First thing everyone needs to check is the rear spoiler! Seen into dealer today…… not my van but the demonstration vehicle. Spoiler loose and coming apart! The following 2 photos are my van and where trim is coming away also. The sunny weather has loosened the tape! Absolutely shocking! Seeing more and more issues from other people!

Tempted to keep my T6 and flog the 6.1 tbh , much penny pinching been done since my old van was made . Will check my spoiler when I get it back from sign writing !

Just getting a couple of 6 inch speakers cut in high up behind rear seats , have to be padded out slightly , may change the front ones to but I think they pad out the doors to ,also to improve the sound

My heated seats haven’t worked since I picked it up but apart from that all seems well.

I had Audison speakers and tweeters put in and lots of sound deadening, massive improvement. I sounddeadend and carpeted the bulkhead which I didn’t do on my t6.1, deffo worth it in my eyes

Well the latest is I’m gonna use my daughters dog walking van for work (Peugeot Partner) until either a, I find a lwb Dsg T6.1 204 or mine gets built. TBH after reading all the above posts I might look elsewhere. As I work local I’m tempted by a TSi. Just missed out on one grrrr

Is it much of a job changing the speakers ? Dash out ? Never bothered upgrading speakers since i was a young un ! But these are pitiful , 4 speakers and 20w i believe .

I used to it all myself but I just get it done now. £425 for speaker upgrade at msd in stoke, did a good job

Tweeters are in the A pillars not dash.

Yeah it’s lacking low end, will be getting sub and an amp to power the speakers too

Ah , i thought the speakers were not in the door , not really looked , is there a lot of wiring putting an amp in ? no where up here that does ice .
