So that the same styling can be applied to hybrid / elec models, and the general phasing out of IC engines for mass manufacturers.
On aftermarket parts fitted to IC engines who have an exhaust which finishes in the middle of the van it’s utterly stupid!
Fortunately Leighton apparently have blanking pieces instead of fake tips, for those who’d rather not have them.

I completely agree. Without any pipes it just looks weird IMO. Saw this electric BMW M something the other day and it just looks strange with no exhaust(s). Maybe when electric vehicles are the norm we will be more used to seeing this, but right now it's weird!
Floor sound deadened and Alpine Sub and Amp fitted. Not so simple to fit the sun due the amount of underseat electrics. Trailer units relocated to passenger side.
