T6.1 inc commuting to work

Hi all. Anyone any recommendations for companies that will insure a 60k value t6 and include social domestic and commuting to normal place of work? Looking at a van with a view of full time use but as soon as I try an add commuting to my normal work place most either won’t quote or stupid money. Any leads welcomed as tried the regular gocompare direct line to no avail

Have you tried adding business use? You might only be commuting in it and not using it for work purposes, but it is a van after all, so a policy with business use would probably be better.

Trying it Insure this as an extra new van is a pain ! . Lv, tried the website to get a quote won’t insure due to number of changes to the van? Only selected alloys, locking wheel nuts an lowered suspection, isn’t even an option for converted to camper van…driving me nuts trying to insure this van as an additional new vehicle to us

A-plan worked well for me, including business use and commuting. They are really good with mods too

Funnily enough I have today had to insure a second van with LV today but initially was told that they could not insure me due to the number of changes!

I then phoned and spoke to them and told them that the vehicle was nearly identical to the first van that i have insured with them. The only difference was that this one is LWB and has "interior changes" and "pop top".

Initially they maintained that that they couldn't do it, but I persisted and managed to establish that when I obtained the original online quote, I had ticked "Other" in the list of changes. This makes the vehicle uninsurable! I had ticked "Other" because "Pop Top" was not an option on their list of changes!

It turns out that I needed to leave "Other" unticked and choose "Sunroof" for the pop top.

This was sorted over the phone and their quote was very competitive.

Great info give them a try later when my blood pressure is lower !

Try Comfort Insurance, they specialise in motorhome / campervan insurance and business use cover is a standard part of the policy, which includes commuting obviously. They quoted a little more expensive than LV but clearly understood all modifications as part of a conversion.
