T6.1 Automatic Headlight Fault

any of you new 6.1 Owners had any issues with Automatic Headlight Fault on dash.

1st world problem i know, but it means there are no parking/get home lights etc.

now booked in again after VW couldnt diagnose anything, they need to strip the headlights out they say

other than that, happy enough

Strip out the headlights for a fault with what sounds like the sensor system?

Have you got LEDs or Halogens?

If the lights are Halogens, then there not much more than just bulbs and a motor in there, so not likely to be the culprit.

It’s much more likely to be the module that controls the lights, the sensor or the switch.

Have they actually scanned your van? Can you scan it to see if there are fault codes?

@Spaghetti , factory LED, turns out Mr German van builder, screwed/drilled thro a wire/assortment of wires, which connected the headlight/auto headlight funcltion, and my heated seats, all working now thansk to 3 x days in dealer, cheers
