Steering wheel upgrade

because atm I’m looking at Touareg ones and they ‘look’ identical
Finally done and very happy. Got a new old stock mk7 golf (pre facelift) steering wheel off eBay. It’s got a flat bottom but not as much as in gti’s etc. Came with flappy paddles, switches and trim. Swapped over switches from my van and plugged flappy paddles into my existing switches. Works a treat. Steering wheel leather is mint as you would expect from a new one and feels a distinct upgrade. Flappy paddles work a treat as well. All in all, chuffed !!

Sorry I didnt see your question above , ours is a t5.1 and I bought a newer polo wheel that had cruise switches on the wheel (like yours) which i'm told can't be used on my old school bus

I also bought an airbag to suit which had a missing spring off the back

Hey guys,
Just wanted to post here, could probably save a few people a headache, like mine lol.
I’ve successfully fitted a golf wheel in my T6 Highline.
What I used:
Golf 7.5 steering wheel £110 Ali Express
Golf GTD/GTI airbag (5G0880201H) £110 eBay
Polo GTI 6C MFSW controls (6c0959442c) £135 eBay
I used the T6 loom and attached to airbag and MFSW controls, no issues at all.
Literally, plug and play. Absolutely love it.
