Power-Closing via key fob.

Thanks for the help. I’ve watched that video and was just wondering whether that’s something a main dealer would do or would I need to go to a specialist?

Main dealers won’t do anything that deviates from standard VW factory settings

I've had this done by advance in car down in poole. Cost me £90, took them 30 seconds.
Great, im well happy with it

Apologies for dredging up an old topic! Do you happen to know of anyone in the South Wales area that would be able to get the job done?
Thanks again!!

Volksfit aren’t a million miles away or maybe T5 upgrades ?

As the title says really..

With the vehicle locked:-

Pressing the boot release (side of key fob) flashes the indicators twice no movement BUT you then can open the boot using the button on the boot lid So its unlocking the boot just not opening it.

With the vehicle unlocked

Absolutely nothing i.e. no flashing of indicators

Remote key-fob does flash red so its sending a signal and the tailgate can be opened/closed electrically using the buttons on the boot lid itself.

Anything i can do or is it a dealer-job

From the factory it's not set to open from the key fob. It is something that can be coded to happen but I doubt a dealer will do it for you. Speak to @ROMANY TAMPIN I know he has had his coded.

Is it not??? The manual says it can be done by briefly pressing the button.Although i have learned to take that with a pinch of salt after you replying to my earlier post.

Thanks Deaky

Mine opens using the key phob regardless whether it’s locked or open. However if the rear parking sensors sense there is something there or there is something fitted to the towbar it won’t open.

Have you added and sound deadening or insulation ? or any weight to the tail gate at all ?
I did both and as a result the tail gate will now not open fully and lift its self because of the added weight ! I worked very hard to balance what dynamat I added too SAME same both sides !

Closing on the fob was coded for me by Advanced in car technologies in Poole, cost around £95 and took him less than a minute but I love it.
Dealer wont do it as a safety thing I was told
Hope this helps

Mine too. It'd be nice to be able to close it using the key fob button. I'll look into getting it coded.

I was lead to believe its not a VCDS code thing !
I was told they added a patch to make the tailgate fob press close !

Hope I'm wrong !

There ya go,

I stand corrected
Many thanks guys Look like I've been ripped off again ! lol
Need to stop it !

Thanks for all your replies guys. It does indeed open from the keyfob when it feels like it (done it 3 times now) but stuggle to get it to perform every time Prehaps not holding the button in for long enough or somthing like that....
