Oem Vs Forum Shop/other Drl Kit

I like OEM stuff, anyone know the difference between the £300+ origional VW kit, the £300+ forum shop kit and the cheapest kit I can find on eBay for £180 delivered?
I understand the OE kit comes with a driver and relay and so does the forum set but reading the posts about fitting them on here it says fit without the relay etc like the cheap ones on eBay.
Anyone have any experience of either, thoughts or advice?
Anyone fitted the cheap kit, is it ok, no DAB issues?

I have had the OEM DRLs (from the forum shop) fitted to my Kombi with LEDs for over 12 months now and never had a problem.

Thanks, any idea about the relay and driver, is it needed?
Just wondered as answers to posts on here said don’t use it.

I did not wire mine up i just installed them then had them connected, so i am no 100%. @Pauly will advise you on that one

They seem to work fine in conjunction with LED headlights without the supplied relay but the instructions say it there’s to use if you get a bulb out warning on the dash so may or may not be required
