After much discussion (and an extra night at a campsite after a cool, cloudy start to yesterday) we've decided to move back North; the top of Galicia really is stunning and we fancy a bit more of it; also a slightly unusual phenomenon here; as you go South the weather warms a little but the sea gets colder; get to Portugal and it's actually really chilly.

Plans to meet my sister and family in the Picos next week too; can't wait for some proper mountain campering!

Nearly back at Calais after almost two weeks. Overnight stop at my aunts and uncles near Limoges on Sun night and woke up to this view from the van....


Got drenched on the site this morning just north of Le Mans so we packed up and headed for Rouen and a hotel for the night before getting the chunnel tomorrow. Not best pleased at on road parking at hotel so took the bikes off the rack so i could get in the underground "max height 2m". Was close on the ramp down into the car park but all safe and secure now and feeling happy the van is secure.... oh and took over a couple of spots to prevent any door dents!!!

A much needed stop in Ferrol (my beard trimmer broke and we'd run out of beer; emergency!) and now back in Pantin; surf was okay earlier.

I haven't washed mine but pre holiday wax is still shining through.... wheels are terrible though, oh and the bug splats!!!

Same outdoor burner as us! Made cracking pancakes last week on it.
And I'm straining my eyes a bit but possibly the same solar shower too.

Van has been excellent and managed 46mpg at 60
Breakfast is now served.

Off for a day around Langres with a lazy lunch..

Early riser; my lot aren't even up yet.
A day of beach lounging and surfing here.
Meeting my sister and family in the Picos mountains next week; our only commitment; looking forward to it.

I have decided it's just UK Cali owners; I've chatted with several "foreign" ones here. These asked us about free camping.

Two UK T5.1 Calis at the campsite; attempted contact, blanked!

Off to check out a new beach (with sand not the VW one...) for some surf. Still undecided which way to go which isn't a bad problem to have.
Weather is lovely today.
