Five days to go...

The majority of the european countries are in financial meltdown, probably not got the cash to mod ha

But they do have the money to buy plenty of T6 Calis, vast motorhomes, travel for months on end...
Nowt to do with money, all to do with taste.

Or lack of it ;)
Brits have awful taste and almost no style.
You can spot them from a mile off; out of shape, pale, often in a football shirt or just vile clothing, kids glued to screens.

Add the daft car/van ruining culture and you have a nation with all the class of an Irish bar in Magaluf.

Finally left lovely Pantin (did a five mile hilly run; was certainly Pantin' after that; boom boom) then went North and stumbled on a full on mountain range and Europe's highest sea cliff; officially 615m.

Then a cautious brake burner down to here where we'll stay a night or two;

Back to Pantin after the most bizarre surf I've had; paddled half a mile to the middle of that estuary, went for a few, all backing off, paddled back, snagged a few small but very powerful ones at Praia de Fornos. Sand in shorts on every wave!

Pantin is currently almost triple overhead....!

Some great piccies there @Polzeylad, hope you are enjoying your hols. we are now down in Carcassonne in the south of France having come from the Ardeche. 6 nights 'cheating' in a villa just breaks up the stay in the van. 1000miles so far and the van has been faultless.

Just been to the local vineyard to stock up on a few bottles of Vin for the Van.

We set off back towards home on Sunday, visiting family near Limoges and then in to Le Mans for a couple of nights. Still not massively impressed with fuel economy but I'd rather get to where I'm going then drive at 56 for optimum economy so it is what it is I guess!!

It's proper hot here....

Very nice @Walski ! I love the Ardeche!
Minging here today although the surf was fun. Meant to be back to loads of sun from tomorrow.
Come down with a slightly weird mild fever; nothing awful but might have been overdoing the running, surfing (paddled over 1.5 miles yesterday; stuck my gps watch on!) and swimming on fairly minimal sleep.

Like the weather, just a blip I hope. Probably pushing South tomorrow.

Looks lovely, a decent restaurant nearby?
A basic but good one about 200 yards away; we ate there a lot! Two more options at the other side of the bay. We do cook a lot in the van as well.

It's a truly lovely spot; always space to park and camp; some spots get very busy from about 2-7pm. Not this place.

Now moved SW to a campsite we know well; tonnes of clothes washing now drying, van cleaned inside, a bit of a rest. Probably doing two days here then we'll push further South.
This site is called Camping Sisargas just outside Malpica. On-site bar/restaurant, pool and tennis courts. Oh and a washing machine!!

The sun is shining, its windy, our clothes and bedding are all clean and I'm rather enjoying not worrying about water useage! Took this photo on arrival yesterday.

Two UK T5.1 Calis here but as usual, no words yet.

Had the sink tap fall off last night (luckily it pushed back on) and the auto latch boot decided to work itselfI in the middle of the night but otherwise good. Also used the moveable cup holder and it's actually quite handy!

@Loz - how are you getting on? All new to you; any issues, questions, anything else?

Embarrassed myself earlier; went to help a Spanish family fold their Quechua pop up tent (we've had one for years but not brought it); I've forgotten how to fold it!! Felt daft but seemed to give enough pointers that they managed it in the end.

Time to explore the map and find a remote spot for our next stop. Bought extra water (15L collapsible tank) to extend our trips offgrid.
