After some recommends really.
We are travelling through Europe at the end of August for a couple of weeks, and instead of taking a Cali or Kombi, we are taking my wifes RS3, staying in hotels, Gites along the way. We have five days or so to get from Calais to Pisa, where we are renting a property for a week, then 3 days to get back (via a night in Monte Carlo).
Im looking at recommends for places to stay, roads to drive etc. We don't want to do toll roads, and we don't want to travel through france, which is the route we always go - Usually as fast as possible down the toll roads!! Obviously we are going through the Stelvio pass, and Ill be popping in to see my contacts at ABT in kempten (which I recommend anyone to do if passing this way - They are very welcoming). Apart from that we have no set agenda. We'd like to travel approximately no more than 3 hours a day. My 8 and 10 year old children are coming with us.
