Drivers side step insert filling with water

Hi, doing a search on 'water ingress passenger door' I've come upon this thread - below is what I get when opening the passenger door after rainfall, doesn't occur on the drivers door - is this likely to be the seal? and is that the door seal or cabin seal on that side? thanks for any advice!

Do you have roof bars fitted? They can also be the source of water in footwells.

I have seen on here quite a few posts about getting water on the step with deeper aftermarket speakers. However I cant seem to find a definitive solution. Did anyone find one.

I now have this problem, however strangely it only seems to be passenger side.









Not only is the water in the step a worry, but also how long will the speakers last if they are constantly wet. :/

Hi, no roof bars as it's a pop top but there is a Thule wind out awning - could be the source? not sure how I would resolve that TBH!

I have seen this (or similar) posts before but we don't have aftermarket speakers installed so had kind-of counted that out...
