Drivers door stuck in cold

Hi

I have a 21 plate T6.1 startline. With the cold weather, I've found that the drivers door handle is stuck solid first thing in morning. De-icing and warm water over the handle has no effect. It doesn't feel frozen but there is very little give, and I don't want to force it. All other handles fine in the cold... Any ideas?

Thanks
Mark

Yes mine was a bit sticky too this morning, but a could yank (yes I said yank) and it came open. If you havent resolved it, maybe borrow the wifes hairdryer 😀 and wave it up and down the door seal and handle.

It’s a fairly common problem with early t6.1 and there was/is a recall to attempt a fix by VW, do a search on here and you will find many suffer with this, inc me, even if you get the door open, sometimes it won’t latch closed, which is worse as you can’t drive off, a poor show from VW, not able to open or close a door when it’s frosty..
Once the interior of van is warm, or the sun gets to the outside, it seems to fix the issue, until the next frost

Makes me wonder how people in the colder places of Europe get on.
