Kombi side step bowed

Recently purchased a kombi side step with light and just looking to see if this bow in the middle is normal? The original non deep step is flat as a pancake even when not fitted. This seems to have a bow in the middle and will not sit flush in the center. I haven't been able to fit it correctly with the clips yet as the light & loom never arrived along with it and still waiting for them to send it out

Thanks, sorry I missed this reply and only came across it while still trying to solve an issue. I now have two steps thay don't fit from the same company so will try this iut today

Probably from being pulled out of the mould while still hot.

This is how the replacement fits, can't physically fit the base poppers as the step is physically too wide to fit. It runs around 20mm longer than oem and the two outer plastic fixings thay slot into the gap either side of the door sits about 10mm wider than oem. The company are now ignoring me dispute sending videos and images. Alrrady had to chop of the rear threshold as this also didnt fit

Don’t forget that carpet lining isn’t standard, it won’t be 20mm thick but it makes a difference.
Who’s the company that are ignoring you?

I will try pulling the carpet aside today but the two plastic clips that slot in will still be spaced too far apart to slot in. It does fit even though it's longer width wise but won't slot in. In that image of it semi fitted its just leaning forward to see if it could be clipped in but leaves a large lip where it meets the flooring and it just sits on top of the holes rather than in them. I have a video of it showing it's not able to line up to fit into these holes which I sent to them.

It's Travelin lite. I purposely avoided what i thought would be cheap tat on ebay but I have seen reviews since then saying the same products don't fit and folk also having to cut apart the threshold.

I have to wait another 9 days for a credit card charge back. I'm a month into just a side step as items have been missing or faulty. Still missing items from the order. Will never order from them again.

I had a travelin lite pattern part rear bumper years ago, what a f’kin nightmare getting it to fit. Some of these companies are banging out garbage and hoping they get away with it.

Yep agreed, I've probably spent about 4 hours trying to make it work when it should be a ten minute job. I feel it's just the same step being sold by all the companies and tempted to buy the genuine kombi step now to save any issues

I've had plenty of garbage over the years and I used to just suck it up but now If i'm not happy then stuff just goes back and I write an honest review of how it all goes .
If your not happy with stuff then they need to know but more importantly the rest of us need to know so that we haven't all gotta go through it .
Even if stuff isnt right if they handle things properly it hasn't gotta be a totally awful experience.
