The bigger the better as long as the physical dimensions fit the space in the van.

If you fit a bigger battery you’ll need to code it other wise the van will only initially charge it to about 80%of the old battery capacity.

The Euro5 engines also have stop / start, as the OP says.

Oops, I forgot that. My old T5.1 was pre stop start, got confused.

Look at @mmi post here. The only critical bit of info is the capacity. I'd suggest the following coding 070 [pick anything from the list] [add one to your existing serial number listed]

Yeah, or make something up. Probably wouldn't cause any issues if you left it the same
