The front sealing flange for the crankshaft on CX** engines is a common problem - oil leak starts around 100-120k km. When changing cambelt kit - ask to get the sealing flange changed as well. It won't add much labor as most of the necessary parts will be removed anyway.

Sealing flange 04L103151A. Smart owners buy an aftermarket part from Corteco 20037032B because it is the producer of the VW original part (see proof in photos attached).
Timing kit:
04L198119D. Equivalent aftermarket quality at a fraction of the cost: INA 530 0699 10 (without pump) or INA 530 0699 31 (with pump).
If you are buying just the cambelt, go for Contitech - they produce the best belts. Superior to VW original (VW uses this brand frequently for original belts).
04L109119D or CONTITECH CT1168 which will be the same belt but 3 times cheaper.
Where I live, the full timing belt kit with pump and a flange cost together 129 pounds including delivery or 149 euros.
