hello folks, I saw a 2017 wheelchair adapted vw Caravelle Executive, with v low mileage for sale. I am v tempted, because of the low mileage & comparatively low price. But, I don't need the wheel chair access or remote powered fold out ramp. I would like to know if buy this, would I be able to convert it back to the normal vw Caravelle? I understand I need to buy them rear bench triple seat & railings. let me know your thoughts. cheers

Do a search for “wheelchair” on the forum. I am pretty certain someone has done this already, and documented it.

As above, it's doable but from memory part of the floor needed to be welded back in so it's quite involved.

yea it's the one with lowered floor. But anyways I would be taking it to one of the conversion specialist garages to get it done professionally. But no idea how much they would charge me for this job.

I’ve been looking at WAVs (wheelchair accessible vehicles) and saw the thread Steved55 posted which put me off based on needing a new floor/crossmembers as just abit outside of my skillset.

I think if they’ve been Motobility then should be fully maintained and ‘probably’ low mileage/looked after
