Morning all,
It's been a while since we posted anything on here, we've had our head buried in vans! But, we've just had a lovely LWG TGE leave, i know it's not a Transporter but these vans are becoming big news now and i know there will be some of you who're interested so thought i'd post some pics!

Looking good Brandon. @AJCConversions I believe there are differences between the fitting of SWB and LWB side pods/flares. I’ve found plenty of info for the SWB but not so much about the LWB version. Do you have to cut and remove some support structure and strengthen in a different way to fit pods to LWB version?

Yes you’re correct, as far as I’m aware these are the only LWB pods that are tested structurally. A rear section of steelwork is removed and a replacement bonded and riveted into place. It essentially then makes the window area the same size as it would be on a MWB Crafter! A bit more work and a lot more money but a must in my eyes for LWB vans.
Also forgot to add the pods are supplied by CJL Leisure!

Thought id drop a pic of our new KIA PV5, interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on these as i know the EV's can be controversial! Van itself is great to drive, looks good straight out the factory and KIA's top spec options doesn't cost much more at all than base spec!
Looking to be able to offer these with full camper spec at sub £55k inc VAT, which VS new Transporter price seems pretty appealing to me!
Poptop arriving tomorrow and then to be fitted next week after paint so will keep updates coming with how we find the van.
Up to now very impressed and even more so with the price point and warranty!

Yes, have seen them gain a lot of traction very quickly! I think they will soon be everywhere. I've heard they've doubled the orders for the UK market of them already!
Hopefully a smart move by Kia because they certainly struggle with reliable petrol engines. I pulled into a Welsh layby yesterday to see if I could assist with what I thought was a car fire, turned out to be an oil guzzling Kia on it’s last legs.
Will they still honour the warranty if it's had a hole cut in to it and a pop top fitted? I know warranty usually covers mechanical issues, but might they use conversions as an excuse not to cover faults?
Yes, has been confirmed via the KIA convertor programme that warranty shall remain if the front roof strut isn't removed for the pop top, which as designed will stay in place so no issues.
Kia have a great portal for converters featuring in's and out's of design, build and CAD data which is extremely useful!
That's great that they're on board for supporting conversions
