Hi All, we have had our T6 for about a year and on several occasions the sliding side door won't latch shut, it just bounces back open. We have had the AA out and it's been to a VW main dealer and as yet nobody has found the root cause.
Last time it happened I took the door panel off and was...
I need a button in the rear of the van to lock the doors, without arming the alarm, as many seem to have fitted on the T6.
Credit to @Willoughby for figuring this out on the T6 here;

I need to swap over my sliding side door on the van to a Caravelle one tomorrow. Is it a one man job? Difficult to do with social distancing. New door isn’t that heavy.
My passenger sliding door has dropped, which means i can no longer close it properly
I've searched through previous threads, which all seem to mention the bottom roller. But this seems ok in mine
The issue seems to be the part where the middle roller meets the door dropping. I have tightened...
I have replaced the sliding door card with a table but I find when the door is fully open, it rubs agains the wheel arch, which incidentally has the Vw wheel arch cover fitted. The door clears the arch until the middle hinge locks the door back as it pulls the door towards the van. If I pull...
The sliding door lower bracket bearing collapsed and have scraped off all the paint along the whole length that it runs on. I have fit a new bracket so that is now sorted, would it be an easy job for a professional spray painter to get in there, prep it & respray all that area.
I wanted to deliver my van to the converters as an empty metal box, so everything came out!
I’m not really sure the value of this stuff. I mostly hope it can be useful to someone, but also a few quid back to towards the van (or a Five Guys) would be great.
These came out of my LWB ’67 plate...
Apologise if this is already a known issue but couldn't see anything when I searched.
Just had a leak fixed by VW that relates to the fixing bolts securing the drivers sliding door rail (2019 T6 Kombi). There are 4 bolts down the side of the van and appears that some haven't been tightened...
Hello,
I'm trying to disable the power latching soft close on my sliding side doors on my T6. I find them too loud in the middle of the night. And yes, before anyone says it, I think it will be quieter slamming the door manually!
Any way to disable this feature? Pull a fuse? VCDS?
Cheers.
Some of you will have seen I bought a 2016 Kombi twin slider, which leaked like a sieve around the VW windows. To keep it short.. I returned it and purchased a new PV. Started the conversion.. no issues...
Put in the floor and had it carpeted at unique vans (top guys btw) and windows (non VW...
Can i request anyone with a 6.1 can take a picture of the rear latch on the sliding door, im interested to know if they all have the silver plate on them (helpful to know if its highline/trendline etc)
Also if your van has power latching and/or electric side door can i see a pic of the motor/van...
I know its been mentioned on the forum before, but I need help locating the part that goes into this hole on the sliding door trim. I wasnt going to bother, as last time the ply panel didnt have that slot, but this time they arrived with it cut out so I will need the cover that isnt there.
When it rains, the water is seeping into the door handle and leaking between the funnel and where it meets the sliding door. I’ve tried getting some sealant up there but isn’t easy to get fully sealed due to the location, any ideas? Not sure if replacing the handle will help as the seals seem...
