Which? Aftermarket Headlight choices

I can get the THQ led headlights for the T6 now. They will be £100 cheaper as the wiring loom doesn't look as pretty as the THQ guys want so Andy has said the first sets to go out will be discounted until the new shipment comes and the old stock is sold.

The wiring loom you don't see anyway and we'll do any tidying up required.

So will be looking to upgrade my T6 headlights in the next month or so. Just wanted people’s views and what brand people have used.

Seen loads of people the the THQ v3s and v2s. Has anyone used the Vee dub or the Travelin-Lite versions?

Thanks in advance.
The best light output for the money is the THQ full LED units.

As @Dav-Tec has said the first batch are £100 cheaper than normal, that makes them £799.95 plus fitting. They’re proving popular, I’ve got 3 vans coming in for them over the next week.

The V2s, V3s, or the Travelin-Lite ones don’t come close for light output, even with LED bulbs.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this but it's been about a couple of months now since THQ said they had the new T6 headlights on the shelf but they were waiting on the new looms could it be a case of they now have the new looms but they wont put them out to retail until all the ones sent out to dealers have been sold

I got told by THQ they won’t be released anytime soon. Only dealers can supply and fit. I went down the V3 full black version as I like the look of them better. Went down the HID kit with them.

Had a first night drive on the T6. The stock headlights are something. I cant see anything in the dark. I assume mine are H4 lights with the beam height regulator in cabin.
Left hand drive vehicle here.

https://transporterhq.co.uk/vw-tran...ansporter-t6-headlights-v3-led-drl-lhd-black/ - are these bolt on without any additional wiring and programming needed? Is the H7 & H1 a good improvement over the stock candlelights? With taxes those will be like 550-600 in my part of the world.

Also I see that its possible to get OEM or analog H7 headlights from vendors like Valeo\TYC\Johns and DIEDERICHS for about 300-400 eur for pair - can those be considered as a valid option? (price-wise its certainly better, and considering that I do not need those led drls, just want my light to be bright at night)

I got myself the THQ V3 and fitted a HID bulb kit instead of the LED bulbs THQ supply.
I haven’t haven’t had one bit of trouble with mine.
Seen other people complain about the HID kits but mine has been faultless.
Not sure if THQ are doing the full LED headlights, but seen people go down that route but the price put me off.
It’s ridiculous the stock headlights are garbage. The upgrade is definitely worth it though.

I had a car that used H1 bulbs as the dipped beam and they were pathetic. H1 is tiny and often overlooked when it comes to aftermarket ‘performance’ bulbs such as Philips’ GT 200 (a really good road legal halogen).
However my Golf has H7 dipped units (with H15 combined high and drl) and they are great.
I think the other H7 units you list might use the H15 rather than H1 for main beam? If that’s the case I would say they are better than THQ H7/H1 combo, especially if those are the fish eye lens type which have a harsh cut off. Plus saves you money

I bought the v3 lights from transporters in march 22. I got the h1 night breaker bulbs and the h7 led. Cost me £558. I then went on to buy the sequential side indicators to.

Honestly I can say it was the best £558 I’ve ever spent. At night I can see!
