Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Not in the van, but had a day out at Wallington House (National Trust) in Northumberland.
Then checked out an overnight stopover at Fontburn Reservoir near Rothbury where you can park overnight for £10, looked a really nice spot.

Sorry we missed you! Thanks to the resurfacing of the B6342 by Wallington we were forced into a detour to get to Cragside, and aborted the idea of stopping at Wallington on the way back to base at Haltwhistle. Going to Seaton Delaval tomorrow.

We missed the roadblock as came from Rothbury, but a few people had difficulties after chatting in the coffee shop.
Can thoroughly recommend Wallington, great walks by the river, nice gardens and tea shop.
Seaton Delaval is on our list next few weeks hopefully.
Enjoy the rest of your tour

I had my first sleep in my van last night, park up unimpressive just a random street in St Austell.
Just a folding mattress and a duvet. Was a little chilly (van insulated/roof uninsulated)

Was for a good cause though a today is poptop fitting day.

Less than a mile down the road there's that rarest of things, a free car park at Seaton Sluice beach. Public toilets. No height restriction. Mixed messaging - one sign says no overnight parking, but a more recent looking one says maximum stay 72 hours 🤔 It also says no sleeping, cooking or camping. I grabbed a quick 40 winks there, and nobody stopped me 🤫

I read it as your vehicle can stay for 72hrs max but 'you' are not entitled to stay with it/in it overnight ....thats how I read it anyway .
