What TV are you watching??

We started on Fauda Season 4 last night and I think this one might just live up to my expectations as a must watch. Top tip - The dialogue is mostly Hebrew and Arabic and there's a choice of English dubbed or sub-titled versions out there. We found watching the latter better. I speak some Arabic but no Hebrew and my wife doesn't speak either but she agreed with me (but it might be that we have seen all the other seasons with sub tiles only and therefore know what the actors real voices sound like).
We also started watching Season 1 of Ghosts and I really can't understand how we could possibly have missed this work of genius until now. On the plus side, it does mean that we've got 4 new seasons to watch now.

Chemistry of Death, yep yet more death, blood, spurt detection with mentally scarred young GP in scenic Norfolk... England for a change.
One episode so far but liking also still watching Will Trent although by episode 3 it's already becoming a bit woke, we shall stick with it like Death in Paradise if only for the background scenery at times.
Digging for Britain last night putting Northampton area on the map was good, in particular because if you paused the picture, squatted close to the TV and squinted enough plus allowed for the curvature of the earth you could just about see our house... ok, house roof, about a half mile distant as they grubbed in the dirt unearthing a Saxon burial, gripping stuff!

Dopesick. It is about the Oxy addictions in the US. Assuming that it is as true as it is supposed to be, what a bloody awful drug and company. It is a good watch.
Also watching Last of Us. Only released weekly so can't binge watch that.

"Poker Face" and "Extraordinary" the first is set in a dodgy casino complex, a bit backwards and forwards smearing the timeline but then the first episode is written by "Knives Out" Rian Johnson.
Next up "Extraordinary" and meant to be a comedy set in a present day where everyone has a superpower, possibly a bit young for us pensioners but strangely addictive and genuinely, albeit crudely, funny, at 30 minutes per episode they don't drag.

We caught Episode 3 of The Last of Us last night. IMHO 1 and 2 were good but last night took it to a whole new level and at the end my Mrs and I both agreed that it was one of the most beautiful episodes of a TV show that we had ever seen. Not only that but it was nearly 75 minutes long and there was hardly any zombie action in what's supposed to be a series about a zombie apocalypse. I really can't recommend it highly enough.

I downloaded the first episode but deleted after a skip through to check video quality as it looked like a lot of naval gazing and introspection... I think I was expecting season 3 of The Mandalorian but sounds like I should give it another try.
Still enjoying "Will Trent" and new series "Shrinking" with rapid pace for such a laid back main character, bonus cameo/support too from a grumpy Harrison Ford.

I generally try to recommend some of the more obscure (and easily missed) stuff and caught North Sea Connection by accident on BBC4 last weekend. Only two episodes in but excellent stuff so far with a few twists and turns in a story about drug smuggling in Ireland.
Still on the maritime theme (sort of), we managed to struggle through all of the first and half of the second episodes of The Rig before binning it - what a steaming pile of excrement that was!
I know it's neither obscure nor easily missed but we're continuing to watch Ghosts for the first time and am now working through Season 2. Suffice to that that IMHO, every episode so far has been a dose of brilliant fun.

Watched the series "The Rig" on Amazon. They could have filmed a decomposing turd over 6 episodes. It would have saved them some cash. The acting would have been better too.

You obviously missed my review of it. You could have saved some of your time.

@Nige_g I read that review on the 16th Jan and have to say that on the strength of that article and similarly minded comments on Rotten Tomatoes "utter shite!" and a more balanced piece on IMDB "possibly the worst shite we've sat through" I decided to skip to my current favourites.
To this end so far Chemistry of Death, Will Trent, Poker Face and Shrinking haven't missed a beat and beat the plethora of SAS cooking on ice drivel hollow!

I gave up on chemistry of death, started out promising but after episode 3 the story line became ridiculous.

@Fluff34567 I think the problem was that they combined two separate books into this first series and the clumsy join where one minute he's in forested Suffolk and the next on the Isle of Nightmares in the Western Isles.
I'll give that the main character needs to man up a bit but definitely watchable if you want plot twists and a deceptive cast, watched the last episode (6) last night and for a change the credits rolling for a truly rotten ending, or is it?

It wasn't the location change, I thought the storyline became a load of wank and totally unrealistic . I continued to battle through it but the last part of episode 6. Ffs what a crock of shite !

Just seen Carnival Row s2 and S3 of Picard are on Amazon. Will work our way through those. I have been watching Black Summer on Netflix. Actually it was quite crap but ended up watching both seasons anyway!

Having watched all of Season 1 of Picard (my Mrs had misgivings but I was OK with it), we never managed to get past the first few episodes of Season 2 before giving up. I think I said on here at the time that it really lost me as soon as Q was introduced into the plot - they were always my least favourite episodes of STNG.
