What size gas bottle do I need

I have a Smev 2 oven and wondered what size gas bottle I need, there is a housing below the oven, have taken some pictures.

From what I have read, butane is good for sunny weather, propane for colder weather, so getting into the autumn months I guess propane is the way to go, I just can't tell what size is right.

Appreciate any help.

Cheers

I think you may be stuck with butane - the gas locker looks the same as the one I'm going for and the biggest bottle it will take is a Camping Gas 907. I think there is an LPG refillable you can go for but probably not that practical for your installation??

The fitter has confirmed it's a "907 euro" bottle.
See if you can find one fairly close to you on EBay (that's where I got my second one from) - make sure it has the screw in carry handle though as no one will do a refil exchange without it.

There's a hardware shop round the corner, they have a cage stocked full of gas bottle, will try there first.

As they relatively well stocked on this country?

Yes, you can get them at many campsites/camping shops - cost about £50 for first bottle with gas then about £24-£30 for a replacement/refil. Ask for Camping Gaz 907.

Most camping shops do them as well as many garages. They do them in big supermarkets abroad.
You buy the tank the first time (you can buy them empty off eBay too) for £50-75 then swap for refills; usually £20ish. We keep a spare. They last well too.

You should get a regulator supplied with your conversion but if not, they're only about £8.

Towsure have empty 907 bottles for £12.95 (plus, I think, £4.95 delivery) - less than I paid off of a local eBay seller last year! Just make sure you get the screw in handle.

In this case, looking at the photos in #1, the regulator (and a pig tail) is already fitted in the gas locker so not required. No visible cylinder adapter in the photos though so may need one as per #10 above.

Got the bottle and all is good, slotted neatly in there. Just one quick q, the red screw at the top of the bottle that you unscrew to allow the gas through, that doesn't need tightening up each time? I am guessing not but thought I would double check, there are two levers that shut off the gas which I will turn off when not in use.

Cheers

......car boots regularly have 907's. I picked up a couple for £4 and £5 respectively, even had some gas in them
