What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Talking about fiamma awnings...

Hard to see but I've filled the gap between the awning and the van to stop rain and drips.
A nice roll of rubber from the big rainforest, and some VHB tape and boom its on. Will it stay on?? Seems to so far. It certainly works anyway.

Less than £20... A lot cheaper than the proper fiamma rain guard at £90ish IF you can get one.

Note must clean the green off the roof.
Also, if you notice the pads on the poptop.... these will hopefully be used very soon :)

Finally managed to fit my Genuine 6.1 Sportline bumper after spending last month trying to piece together all the trims, grills, undertrays which VW would not sell me :(.
Great work there, how was you able to obtain the missing parts?

I see there are a few bumper covers but like you say, missing the grills, lower valance etc.

The towhook cover, fog light covers and both side grill you can buy from Thq from their Gt T bumper separately.

The side grills are same shape but fixings are completely different so I cut their fixings and tiger sealed the grills on after paint.

The undertray pieces they wouldn’t sell separately so I made a template in cardboard then used old undertray to make my own. They also hold the fog lights in place so I used some L brackets to fit those.

If you want to go down same route then this is your best bet on marketplace. Only thing you would need is the undertrays and towhook cover at £70 from THQ.

Thank you, I went a different route in the end.
Front canards, thruxton lower spoiler painted in van colour and got the bodyshop to paint the chrome strip on top grill cherry red lh3t. Will post a pic up later of it.

Out of interest where is that threshold from? Exactly what I’m thinking of but haven’t seen one in the diy stores
I stumbled across it here in Germany, there was a selection of plastic bases that have to be screwed to the underside of the wood and then you choose the trim on the top. Luckily there was a base for 12mm wood. If I find the brand name I'll let you know :)
